That's a 90' tall full-on Nyingma Refuge Tree. I love seeing the Gelugpas getting ecumenical. As screwed up as Dharma is these days, the news isn't all bad. Gotta love HHDL.
I support Mingyur R and HHDL in their positions against Lama abuse.

To be even more specific, it's the Longchen Nyingthig tshog-zhing.

How wonderful!

I agree that it is a very good thing. Lama Zopa Rinpoche appears to have always had affinity for Guru Rinpoche. I read on some of his letters to students where he recommended Guru Rinpoche practice to some in the past...

HHDL, of course, has a big connection with Dzogchen teachings/ Guru Rinpoche. So have other Dalai Lamas of the past, like the Great Fifth, etc. :namaste:

All the best,

Kevin

Wow that is a beautiful Thangka I love seeing Guru Rinpoche :)
Abandoning Dharma is, in the final analysis, disparaging the Hinayana because of the Mahayana; favoring the Hinayana on account of the Mahayana; playing off sutra against tantra; playing off the four classes of the tantras against each other; favoring one of the Tibetan schools—the Sakya, Gelug, Kagyu, or Nyingma—and disparaging the rest; and so on. In other words, we abandon Dharma any time we favor our own tenets and disparage the rest.

Liberation in the Palm of your hand~Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche.

Many lifetimes of practicing so many profound instructions and it is little wonder that he is such a profoundly enlightened master.
