Tsogyelgar Upper Shrine Room Burned to the Ground

Post by Dorje Shedrub » Wed Apr 17, 2019 10:24 pm

This Vajrayana temple was part of White Lotus Farms. No one was injured, but many precious murals and other items were lost. Fire fighters helped recover a statue of Guru Rinpoche from the ashes.

Lot of holy places burning down.

Ah, just coincidence.
Those who, even with distracted minds,
Entered a stupa compound
And chanted but once, “Namo Buddhaya!”
Have certainly attained the path of the buddhas.

Wait, Tsogyelgar? I thought maybe it was Tsegyalgar-- the communities established by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche.

But further research revealed this an organization belonging to some one named "t.k.":
In one moment t.k. will be giving exquisite finely detailed traditional teachings on the subtle yogas of Tantra’s completion phase or Dzogchen. In the next he will be enliving this with references to Gurdjieff, western esoteric schools, Krishnamurti, the Upanishads, medieval Kabbalah, St. John of the Cross, Nisargadatta Maharaj, the Sufis of mediaval Spain, the black virgins of Provence, Carl Jung, Hakuin, Rinzai, Ikkyu, the Essenes or demonstrating yogic methods of energy transformation or explaining the subtle details of tantric visualization as sensual alchemy.
https://www.tsogyelgar.org/

It seems like he is a self-annointed guru:
From his earliest life t.k. was consumed by a spiritual longing which, in his teens, matured into a quest. He went to talks of the radical spiritual teacher Krishnamurti, spoke with Jesuit priests, Franciscan monks, practiced in a Gurdjieff school, at zendos, ashrams, worked with prayer and contemplation at the gypsy church of the Black Virgin in Provence, studied the work of ancient masters and modern mystics such as Dudjom Rinpoche, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Osho, Adi Da, the Sufi master Javad Nurbakhash, Ramana Maharshi and received a university degree in comparative religion …… All this was in an effort to rediscover the wisdom of his previous life and establish a broad foundation for his future work through understanding the strengths and weaknesses of differing means of spiritual transmission and life.
Shortly after his 30th birthday, at the end of a year of intense contemplative practice and spiritual phenomena, t.k.’s lifelong spiritual quest bore fruition in a radical and irreversible awakening into-as-of the unborn and undying mind of wisdom bliss - Buddha Nature.

"The essence of meditation practice is to let go of all your expectations about meditation. All the qualities of your natural mind -- peace, openness, relaxation, and clarity -- are present in your mind just as it is. You don't have to do anything different. You don't have to shift or change your awareness. All you have to do while observing your mind is to recognize the qualities it already has."

From that website:
In 1860, Golok Tibet, the greta Dzogchen Siddha Do Khyetnse was on pilgrimage to the hidden land of Pemakö when he fell to his death from one of the many dangerous wooden bridges which crossed high gorges and raging cascades. As he fell he whispered a prayer which he had been repeating for his whole adult life. “For the benefit of all beings may I be reborn in times uncertain and lands unknown.”
Is this how Do Khyentse really died or just some fabricated bs? Afaik, the traditional narative is that he passed away like a true mahasiddha, amidst miraculous displays of rainbows & stuff.

I dreamed that in the ashes there was discovered a Terma. And lo, the assembled gullibles were awestruck and bowed before him. The new Terma has been entitled The Emerging Phoenix Lotus of the Insurance.

A long dead master will recognise the Tulku and his miracle, and in a vision transmit commentaries and exclusive selling rights to the Terma and associated religious accoutrements, henceforth to be called the 'merchandise'.

The Holy one will travel to many very elderly masters and will be granted lineageholder status hereinafter known as posthumous appropriation.

This vision came to me, the vagabond sage, in the year of the Oily Snake, and will indeed come to be, as it has been once before in the land of Brexitae. Sealed.

Okay, seems to have run it's zig-zag course.
