Christian and Buddhist flags to fly at King, NC veterans memorial
WALNUT COVE, N.C. -- For the second year, the city of King, N.C. held a lottery to determine which flags would fly at its Veterans Memorial. Though the Christian flag will fly most weeks at the memorial in 2012, there will be a few weeks when no flag flies and one when the Buddhist flag flies.

"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."

"Only you can make your mind beautiful."
