I have sent scores of people to see ChNN from this and other forums. But it is not like you should introduce yourself with "Malcolm told me to come." Just go and receive teachings. That is sufficient.

I actually checked everything and I'm going. Thanks Malcolm. I will just go and see what happens, like buddha. Either I realize or die. :applause:

In addition to what others have said, this looks like an interesting center, maybe you could attend the teaching by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche in June:

CHOKYI NYIMA RINPOCHE: Annual Seminar with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, 19- 24 June 2016
"We are delighted Rinpoche has confirmed his return to Gomde Lindholme Hall in 2016 Rinpoche has very generously agreed to give teachings based on the profound text":

Naturally Liberating Whatever You Meet by Khenpo Gangshar"

Opportunity for these teachings:

Nah, I get what's going on there.

I don't know anything about Mr Low except that I liked his book "Being Right Here." For the record, I'm a member of the DC and would certainly not discourage anyone from making the connection with ChNN. But maybe someone might benefit from meeting Mr Low too?

Hi Malcolm,

When I go to register for this Tenerife retreat http://www.dzamlinggar.net/en/schedule/ ... ig-retreat - it says FOR THIS RETREAT, A REQUEST TO ATTEND NEEDS TO BE SENT BY THOSE WHO BELIEVE THEY REALLY HAVE THE BASE OF TREGCHOD

Do all the retreats at Tenerife require this knowledge, I am a beginner so I am not familiar with this.

Any advice regarding this would be great! :)

Thanks.

I'm not Malcolm but I can answer this one. The Yangti retreat is unique. As a rule, most DC retreats are appropriate for beginners. That is one of those few that is not.

Here's an example of a retreat that would be beginner-friendly.

Thanks a lot for the response DGA, strange that the first time I checked for a response to this question was 5 minutes after you replied.

With regards to the retreat that you have linked, do you have any idea of when registration opens?

Thanks!

For that Yangti retreat, what do they mean by "the base of tregchod"? I assume it means base as in tregchod is necessary for yangti, so a very stable tregchod? Or does it just mean at least some ability with tregchod?

I think it's possible that some of the lamas at the Samye Ling Monastery in Scotland know Dzogchen. Although perhaps you would have to work your way through the Kagyu teachings for many years before they would teach you any Dzogchen.

Choje Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche completed a 49-day bardo retreat--isn't this a Dzogchen method?

James Low is a U.K based Dzogchen teacher.

Edit: Just saw he was already mentioned. FYI then Luke if you hadn't seen.

I don't think Lama Yeshe openly teaches Mahamudra let alone Dzogchen.

And what dzogchen could they teach you in Samye Ling?
Can you give an example ?

I could be wrong but i think there are such methods in tantra for those who practice completion stage .

But i am not familiar with tantra so maybe someone else can give you a more accurate and detailed answer.
