I recently came across this practice, and I read that to learn about this practice I needed to learn from an approved teacher. After learning more about these practices I believe that I can deepen my spiritual understanding by following these practices and learning all that I can about them.
I have just a few questions for this community:
Where in the world should I travel to learn from a teacher of Trekcho, and learn what it truly means to cut through?
Would any of you recommend any books, or resources to continue my education in Dzogchen Buddhism, and learn more about the practice?
Thank you for looking into this,

Where do I go to learn Trekcho
Re: Where do I go to learn Trekcho
Hi TheWInner1
Indeed, Trekchö is not something that can be learned from a book and that requires instructions from an authentic Dzogchen master.
Some of them are more “open” about teaching wide (non-expert level) audiences.
Here is a (far from exhaustive) list of some of the most respected Dzogchen masters that teaches more “openly”:
Chögyal Namkhai Norbu
Lopön Tenzin Namdak
Tsoknyi Rinpoche
Mingyur Rinpoche
Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche
Etc...
Wishing you the best on your path,
Marc

Marc's list is great. I'd also add Alan Wallace, James Low and Garchen Rinpoche.
Re: Where do I go to learn Trekcho
All of the teachers named above are good recommendations. I'll just add that some of them do free live webcast teachings via the Facebook group Webcasts Buddhist Teachings. If you tune into a few sessions on there, it might give you a feel for different teachers' approaches, and perhaps some sense of their presence if you are open to the transmission. Then you could make a more informed choice of whom to seek teachings from than you could through written works or recordings alone.

You can have now the big opportunity to learn Trekchöd as well Thögal.
With Trekchöd you can abide in your Natural State and Thögal visions will follow soon, according Bön ZZNG Dzogchen, which is Mengagde.
That can only be practiced if you are introduced orally into your Natural State.
That is possible via webcam live teachings including the introduction into your Natural State.
After that you are teached how to abide in your Natural State, which is based on Trekchöd.
Then as an additional experience you will have the Tögal visions automatically going hand in hand with the experience of Trekchöd.
Bön ZZNG Dzogchen does not divide the experience of the Natural State in Trekchöd and Thögal like in Semsde and Longde, but teach it as indivisible according Mengagde.
See also below for more informations or on the Bön Forum.

For further questions etc. you can consult the Bön forum, where i will give more specific informations about the upcoming Teachings.
