Awakening in the Bardo

Post by Virgo »

Do individuals who awaken in the bardo (or the moment of death) attain 13'th-16'th bhumis at that time or only up to the 12'th?

Thanks,

Kevin...

Tashi delek K,

In the Bardo we can mostly prove that what we have practiced at our actual life, as a result of our practice.
In the Bardo we do not get presents for free.
Guess if a person has attained the 10th Bhumi on earth, then this Bodhisattva will get a perfect Body to teach the Dharma somewhere.
Also an "existence" in the pure Realm of a Buddha is possible for devoted Bodhisattvas, what the most Bodhisattvas aspire.
After "450" years" they can get the status of Buddha there.

The pure Eastern Real of the Medicine Buddha is available for devoted adherents of the Menla Sutra
The pure Western Real of the Amitabha Buddha is there for devoted adherents of Dewa Chen Sutra.

Some fall in deep unconsciousness in the Bardo of dying and wake up / reincarnate right on, somewhere.
For them there is no Liberation by Hearing possible.

Therefore the preparation for dying is a must because we can then have profit in the recognizing of the Visions / lights as that they do not come from outside but from ourselves.
To be experienced with Dzogchen and the Visions is the best way to get accustomed to the after Death State.

But for others like Bodhisattvas is the best way to by pass the Bardo by going to the Pure Realm of a Buddha.
In the Sangye Menla Sutra / Tantra, there will be 2 Bodhisattvas coming from the Eastern Pure Realm , who will take the "person" and guide them to the Pure Eastern Realm of Sangye Menla. This is a very good option for Mahayana followers to by pass the Bardo.
Buddha Dharma is very rich in good solutions and it does not need to be always Dzogchen here and Dzogchen there to get results. :applause:

The question was connected to sentient beings who did awaken in relation to Dzogchen.

Oh sorry i misunderstood the question here.
Very unusable to take Bhumis here as an example regarding Dzogchen matters.
We say in Bön Dzogchen if the Path is different then the fruit is different.
