Separate question...the recordings of the webcasts are quite poor and I can barely make out what Rinpoche is saying over the translators voice most of the time. Is there a different archive with better recordings that Im not aware of?
You're welcome. From my own experience the recordings vary somewhat as to the quality of the sound from one location to another, however I don't use headphones when I listen, I just listen through good speakers on my computer, so that could be something you could try. Practitioners use many kinds of devices while listening. When I've listened over a mobile phone outside, I like to have this extra battery operated speaker that works with the phone, it makes things clearer, even the chipmunk sat up and listened to Song of Vajra with the extra battery operated speaker (picture that).
I don't know of a different archive, but perhaps you might find it reassuring that over time you'll most likely get accustomed to Rinpoche's "delivery" and become more and more familiar with how he pronounces words, his vocal inflections etc... and also I believe your mind will become accustomed to the overlapping of the translator...what I mean is you'll most likely "acclimate" the longer you listen to the web casts, hopefully the overlapping will become easier for you over time.
By the way, you have a nice picture.
