Nothing at all in the Americas, from Canada to Chile. From the looks of it, this year's schedule is pretty close to what his 2017 schedule was originally planned to be. The US wasn't on the 2017 schedule either, but Argentina was. Sorry that Rinpoche won't be heading your way.TaTa wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 5:38 pmNo argentinaPero wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 3:12 pm Rinpoche's new schedule has just been published:

http://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en ... 06420.html Does this book cover everything as far as explanations related to all Mandarava practices go? Or is there more in other books?
If yes, then it seems you are completely covered with this, the practice text http://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en ... 08509.html and the original terma text http://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en ... 05270.html
So is this book pointless if you have the above? http://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en ... 05782.html

Aryjna, I wouldn't go as far as calling it pointless, but the ones you mentioned above are def more concise from what I've heard. I've not read the root text or the last book, however. As mentioned previously - unless you can learn in person or only practice the essential version, you'll need a Dvd for other aspects of the practice.

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
I am trying to decide what to study before it is time for the drubchen. I am also not sure if the terma book overlaps with the practice book. If the main difference is that the practice book is in an easier format it may not be that urgent to get it.Vasana wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 7:59 pm Aryjna, I wouldn't go as far as calling it pointless, but the ones you mentioned above are def more concise from what I've heard. I have all these books, and yes there is overlapping information in them. Start with the first three and then add the last one if you want to be more sure of the instructions. Or if you don't have the tsa-lung transmission skip the first. Rinpoche have been teaching on this Mandarava practices many times and every time there are small differences if you are in to this practice then everything have a lot of value.Aryjna wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 7:55 pm http://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en ... 06420.html Does this book cover everything as far as explanations related to all Mandarava practices go? I followed the "Shang Shung USA Store" link from the Tsegyalgar East website, and created an account there. That's where I have purchased all my books and recordings so far. Is there a way to link that registration to the Shang Shung Foundation site? Should I create a second account at the Foundation site? For example, is there different inventory?

The practice text is not in any of the books. It will be quite hard to practice along without it, if they'll be doing the long version.Aryjna wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 9:28 pmThanks. For learning the practice you don't need the terma book and probably can't learn from it. It's just the translation of the root text of the practice without explanation (but it does contain more details on the appearance of Mandarava and maybe some other visualizations). For learning the practice The Practice of Long Life and Chüdlen is probably easiest but is missing some updates. The tsalung book is the most up to date (even though it's on tsalung, almost half of the book is on the main practice) but looks a bit thick to me, maybe not easy to learn from for the first time. You definitely also need DVDs to learn the long practice.

If you're from the US you generally use the second site since it's located in the US. Those of us in Europe order from the first site. But there's no problem if you register on both (years ago I ordered some books from the US because they were out of stock here). Don't think you can connect accounts.Jeff H wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 9:36 pm It seems that shop.shangshungfoundation.com, referenced in Aryjna's post and shangshung.org/store are two different organizations ... or at least do not share a membership database.

It is a bit confusing because according to the titles and descriptions both books with instructions are not focused on the main practice. One is on tsalung and the other on chulen. Maybe the dvd is the best as a start.Pero wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 9:37 pmThe practice text is not in any of the books. Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
Don't remember, sorry. BTW, the video of Rinpoche doing the practice is on the Webcast site in the restricted section. There are also explanations of the mudras. And there is also the entire practice text, though not the new pretty one.

Hello all!
Much love that Rinpoche is visiting Australia again
If it's okay I would like to put two questions out there....
- Are there any Longsal texts that are available to someone whom does not have the Longsal initiation?
- Is there any recommended order to progress through the practices contained within the precious vase ? (Apart from the order of presentation) . Iv'e worked through the first six Lojong and am building up to Med Kumbhaka through RB, about to start either the four immeasurable or Semdzin.
Thank you : )
