I've been looking around to see if it's possible to get my hands on a bagchen set or a rulebook. I know that there was one on the Shang Shung Austria website ages ago, but it's not there any more. Anyone know about this?

The last Karmapa said great things about ChNNR to Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and he in turn to his sons. May the constant pain of confused deluded beings end. Sogyal Rinpoche paying respect to ChNNR: http://www.rigpawiki.org/index.php?titl ... u_Rinpoche" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I usually do feel free. Why don't you ask your teacher about them? If he feels you are ready he will tell you various things, if not, not. Why do you think TUR kept inviting ChNNR after an instruction and dialog from the last Karmapa about ChNNR? He knew the Karmapa was almost completely omniscient as even Dzongsar Khyentse would consult him as his own clarity was not almost unbounded, unlike the Karmapa's. Frankly it might be best for things to remain as they are as the guru wishes since it all depends on one's coarse and subtle intentions. You don't share but remember when death that's near comes, one's greedy collection is scattered and the only useful thing in bardo, knowledge of primordial state, was never collected! And as I said before, be free!

Good luck.

I joined DC weeks ago and have not heard anything back yet. How do I get on the mailing list for the webcasts in the meantime? Sonam, thank you so much for posting this as I would have missed it if you hadnt.

Write them. It may happen that someone missed your e-mail or something. :smile:
Weeks is way too long to keep waiting, so you should know what is happening.
The webcast crew will have to confirm your membership status, so it would be good if you knew if everything is in order.

Thanks guys...I emailed the address that Namdrol suggested. According to paypal they collected the membership dues more than a week ago and so far I have had no reply. I was going to wait another week to call or email them figuring they might be busy. I have been around various Dharma centers, Tibetan, Chinese, and Japanese for close to 30 years now...one thing has not changed...they tend to be not the most organized of organizations. But if you think I should I will do it sooner and tell them that Dechen Norbu and Namdrol told me to do it...he he he :twothumbsup: I really have been chomping at the bit to get the SMS Precious Vase book and the Tun/Ganapuja book. Anyways, thanks again

But don't you think he should write them or call them, Namdrol? It's taking way too long.
Fa Dao, did anyone at least gave you your DC card number or confirmed your membership somehow? Write them. Everyone I ever dealt with at Merigar (I don't know if that's your Gar) is quite friendly and welcoming. They will help you sort it out. Don't be afraid of sounding pushy. Contrary to internet forums, they'll assume you mean well! :lol:

I think this may be helpful for keeping more or less track of the webcasts (it doesn't have details such as the starting hour and so on)
It tells when there will be a retreat. In most cases that means a webcast. When the date approaches, generally you get the details, but it helps planing if you want to attend live.

I first applied at DC West about almost a month ago. Still havent heard back from them. Then after 2 weeks I applied at the main Tsegyalgar East and payed my membership dues through paypal. That was over a week ago. Still havent heard anything from them either. I am not pissed or anything, I realize these things sometimes take time. But if you all think I should call or email them I will. Thanks for your concern and help
