Yes, that description is what prompted me to ask this question. Because there is not additional information provided, I can't help wondering if that is a mistake and they meant to write that he is the "emanation of a terton".

Is "Incarnation" the same as "Emanation" ?recognized as an incarnation of Chokgyur Lingpa by the Sixteenth Karmapa.

If he took out some termas this life is not commonly known. He is a highly unusual person so maybe.
