Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro :: Book on Vegetarianism

Post by Thomas Amundsen »

Why Vegetarian?
Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro wrote:Years ago, I wrote a book about the merit of being vegetarian and the faults of eating meat or being non-vegetarian.
Does anyone know where I can find this book (in English)?

I would be surprised if it had been translated. After looking at this article's bibliography:
https://journals.openedition.org/emscat/2755 I think the title in Tibetan is:
"sha’i kha zas gnag bkag gi bslab bya blang bor gsal ba’i me long"

Nice article. :thanks:
“Observing samaya involves to remain inseparable from the union of wisdom and compassion at all times, to sustain mindfulness, and to put into practice the guru’s instructions”. Garchen Rinpoche

goodness is what comes to pass.
For those who do non-virtuous actions,
that becomes suffering indeed.

Looks interesting thanks. I will take a look at it once I sort out my relationship with meat. :D

No, I am saying that it was written by the person who wrote the article, Gaerrang (Kabzung).

Yes, it was, it's from a book called "From Believers to Bodhisattvas". When I said "the article" I was referring to this:

KTL spoke there last week, so I assume that is what is being referred to.

He's been up in my neck of the woods for the past week and I've seen him speak several times, including just last night at Anam Thubten's place in Point Richmond. You can see some videos of the teachings in Union City, most of which I attended, here:

although there seems to be some issues with the sound quality.
