What does "magnetizing" mean in regard to the function of Red Tara?

Post by SonamGyatso »

Hi im new here. I love the Buddhadharma and often have questions about my Vajrayana practice, so i'm hoping I can get some use from this site.

I am wondering about the "magnetizing" function that red Tara brings about. Any elaboration is appreciated, thanks

This is more of a samaya topic than a forum one.
"All phenomena of samsara depend on the mind, so when the essence of mind is purified, samsara is purified. Since the phenomena of nirvana depend on the pristine consciousness of vidyā, because one remains in the immediacy of vidyā, buddhahood arises on its own. All critical points are summarized with those two." - Longchenpa
