Courtesies Regarding the Lama, Sangha, and Place of Dharma Activity

Post by SonamGyatso »

I am trying to learn good manners for when I attend Puja.

I have been a buffoon more than a few times because of my total ignorance of Tibetan culture. I've been hanging around my lama for more than a year now, so I'm getting the hang of it, but I'm still picking up on a few things...

I am hoping some tips on how to behave in regard to interacting with my Lama and the Sangha, also anything else that involves the Dharma place.

Thank you

Just don't put yourself forward too much, watch what others are doing, ask people (who are also not hogging the limelight), and show consideration. If people want to put you down because of your ignorance, just don't take it seriously and do better next time.
