Post by lama tsewang » Fri Jul 18, 2014 9:54 pm

i am now in the middle of attendance at a guhyasamaja being given by khensur rinpoche lobsang tsephel.
i have also previously received initition in the guhyasamaja mandala by way of receiving the shangpa gyu de lha nga, in which there is the full 32 deity guhyasamaja mandala.
i would like to , i have need of help and instruction in the guhyasamaja system , the kye rim . can you direct me to resources. And even better , can any of you , actually give me full instruction on it.

Great. Although, you might want to check it is the same book because this one was only published last year. Thurman also has published a translation of this text.

Also, I'm assuming they gave out translations of the sadhanas at the initiation, but if you read Tibetan and don't already have the sadhanas in Tibetan I can send you those.

Tantra by Geshe Tashi Tsering is very good. It has a section on the Guhyasamaja generation stage.

In general however, there is a dearth of english material on the generation stage.
Equanimity is the ground. Love is the moisture. Compassion is the seed. Bodhicitta is the result.

-Paraphrase of Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tsephel citing the Guhyasamaja Tantra

"All memories and thoughts are the union of emptiness and knowing, the Mind.
Without attachment, self-liberating, like a snake in a knot.
Through the qualities of meditating in that way,
Mental obscurations are purified and the dharmakaya is attained."

-Ra Lotsawa, All-pervading Melodious Drumbeats

Ah! I also practice only in English (exception is deity mantras).

Anyways here is the Prayer to Setrap Protector who was given to Lotsawa Loden Sherab while he was in India to help spread the Buddhadharma in Tibet.

This is sourced from His Eminence Tsem Tulku and His Eminence Lochen Tulku Rinpoche with a few changes to make it universal to match His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Praise.

Not totally done yet. Any error is mine and ask for forgiveness. Maybe can help somebody--
I should be meditating.
