Domo Geshe Rinpoche recently came out with a book titled "Sensing Shades of Reality." The term "reality" is one of the most eye-catching features in her interpretation of buddhisms and she plays it easily into the concept of mental illness. A good example ist he following statement on her Facebook page:

"Before overcoming the obstacles to the awakened state a person is like someone who is mentally ill... perhaps even feeling that they are in the grip or imprisoned by their unhappy thoughts, or confusion. However, at a certain point in healing they will definitely think `This confusion no longer holds power over me`. Isn´t that so? `This strange thinking cannot hold me prisoner any longer. I reject it!` That person couldn´t really say that the confusion that she or he was suffering from was something real that has now become unreal, but in fact... it never was.`It never was real and that is why it´s called a delusion." (Domo Geshe Rinpoche, January 3, 2013 and posted again January 28, 2018).

So, her interpretation of buddhism goes like this: There is no reality and there has never been a reality. What has been, has actually not been. Your personal history is actually a record of false interpretations and delusions. The only way out of the dilemma is to let go of your past and seek awakening. But awakening is not only a healing process from a state of mental illness. No! Listen to this: Mental illness is the very requirement for awakening.

Well, this is fantastic news to all people suffering from mental illness because it can be that they are just about to reach awakening.... just like K. in the story told in the previous post. He suffers from a schizophrenic disease and a personality disorder. But Domo Geshe Rinpoche promised him to be healed on the first day they met (May 8, 2015). Of course she did not heal him. Instead, he became a danger to himself and others. She contributed to the progression of his disease by falsely giving him hope of healing. And the consequences were fatal. Therefore, she, the self-proclaimed wise lama and allegedly 9th reincarnation of Domo Geshe Rinpoche, failed entirely.

So, there is a reality Domo Geshe denies. A reality that is real and not delusion: She is not a reincarnate holy person. She cannot be Domo Geshe Rinpoche and the course of events around K. made this very clear.
