I was recently reading one of their PDF's listed on their website and have found their particular way of explaining the ins and outs of Nichiren Buddhism to be very helpful. If anyone has any thoughts on this particular sect, I'd love to hear.

In his writing, Hokkemongu (Words and Phrases of the Lotus Sutra), The Great Master Nichiren said, “If the practitioners of the Lotus Sutra wholeheartedly devote their life to the Lotus Sutra and practice according to its golden words, it is certainly needless to say that not only in the next life, but also in this lifetime they will overcome severe difficulty, prolong their life, receive the great, good fortune of unsurpassed enlightenment, and accomplish the great vow of the widespread, propagation of True Buddhism.”

Heard of it, but don’t know a lot about it. I believe that they only chant chapter 21 of the LS and the daimoku, and they are, like Nichiren Shoshu, a fuju fuse school.
Re: Is anyone familiar with Honmon Butsuryo Shu?
I was just on their website and it looks like I might be wrong about their focus on Chapter 21. And perhaps the fuju fuse thing, too. Maybe I’m getting it confused with another group. It seems they have an idiosyncratic way of explaining some things (lots of references to the soul and “holy energy”), but I suspect that’s mostly a language/translation issue.
As a Nichiren Shu believer, there isn’t anything there that I have major disagreements with, at first glance.
