Alfred Bloom has left for sukhavati

Post by Fortyeightvows » Tue Aug 29, 2017 9:00 am

I just found out that the great teacher and writer Alfred Bloom has left this world.

I'm sure that there are some of his students on this forum. Even though I've never studied with him myself, I do understand that he made major contributions to scholarship and to american understanding of pureland buddhism.

南無阿彌陀佛

Official announcment is here:

"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."
