Hi all ! I'm a new member , I'm studying Pure Land Buddhism , and I recite Namo Amitabha Buddha each day.
How to take refuge in the Three Jewels? Can I use the text of Mahayana Refuge?
Like this:
In the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha most excellent,
I take refuge until enlightenment.
By the merit of generosity and so on,
May I achieve Buddhahood to benefit all sentient beings.
, or a Pure Land buddhist should recite another text ?

Re: Refuge
In my tradition, we just say, "Toi quy y phat. Toi quy y phap. Toi quy y tang." Literally just, "I take refuge in the Buddha; I take refuge in the Dharma; I take refuge in the Sangha."

Re: Refuge
It is sufficient to declare that you take refuge into the triple jewels.
Pureland practice does not need any special rituals or text.
We just need to believe in Amitabha Buddha's vows and with a faithful mind should continue to recite his sacred name in order to be born there.
Namo Amitabha Buddha!

Namo Amitabha Buddha!
The Buddha said to Ananda, “You should carefully hold these words in mind. To hold these words in mind is to hold in mind the name of Amitayus Buddha”
