Stepping Down

Post by Admin_PC » Thu Jun 20, 2019 5:01 pm

This may or may not come as a surprise, but I've decided to step down and leave DharmaWheel.
I'll still be running the Pure Land subreddit, but I'll be deactivating my account here.
It's been a pleasure discussing Pure Land with you all and I wish you folks the best.

Fare well.
Those who, even with distracted minds,
Entered a stupa compound
And chanted but once, “Namo Buddhaya!”
Have certainly attained the path of the buddhas.

Thanks for representing the Pure Land approach. This place will be less well-rounded without you.

With a heart wandering in ignorance down this path and that, to guide me I simply say Namu-Amida-Butsu. -- Ippen

The Fundamental Vow [of Amitabha Buddha] is just for such people as woodcutters and grassgatherers, vegetable pickers, drawers of water and the like, illiterate folk who merely recite the Buddha's name wholeheartedly, confident that as a result of saying "Namu Amida Butsu" they will be born into the western land. -- Master Hōnen

Always appreciated working with you as admin when I as a mod. Thank you for herding us cats and dealing with all the behind-the-scenes drama that comes with the job description. May your life be more peaceful, as you set sail from the DW port!

Gosh, I'm really surprised! Just recently I thought: "PC will be admin forever!!!" You served this place so many years!!! Another lesson about impermanance.
Sorry to see you go. But I'm glad, I'm not guilty. ;)

Take good care.

Oh, I didn't know it was you pork chop.

Not sure if you do remember me. Thank you for being so helpful in my learnings as a Buddhist since I started on this path more than 10 years ago.

Thank you for serving the online Buddhist community! All the best to your future endeavours! :namaste:

Thank you a lot for your service here! It is sad to see you go, but understandable. Hope to meet you again somewhere sometimes. :anjali:

Although I very rarely post, I do read the forum posts and your profound commentary on the Pure Land traditions have always been exquisitely insightful and very beneficial to the understanding of the path to Sukhavati.
My sincere gratitude.
I will look for you on reddit and wish you well.
