Whether we are able or not to show genuine compassion is not due to an outer circumstance but due to our own obscurations.

Whether we look to His Holiness with attachment or aversion, which he or no any other teacher will teach us, will not be a help to purify mind.

Yes Mingyur.

Tibetan culture; in which by the truth showed by Buddha one doesn't reject the human rights and beneficial Buddha Dharma, emerging in the culture.

Therefore I don't close my eyes by sticking my head, filled with lots of elaboration in the sand. Then no genuine compassion at all. :anjali:

Lol, these Buddhas-in-training are a hoot. Clumsy as kittens and twice as cute. Gotta love 'em.

BTW tnks for the links, I like Dalai Lama talks. There are not many like him, who can talk about any topic and saturate it with kindness.

What is the difference between "Buddhas-in-training" and "Buddhas"?

Kind regards

My view is that we have Buddha nature and that a Buddha in training is one who is working to clear the obscurations and impediments that hide it from view.

So there is probably not one person on this board who is not a Buddha in training.
