Chih-I:
The Tai-ching states "the women in the realms of Mara, Sakra and Brahma all neither abandoned ( their old) bodies nor received (new) bodies. They all received buddhahood with their current bodies (genshin)" Thus these verses state that the dharma nature is like a great ocean. No right or wrong is preached (within it) Ordinary people and sages are equal, without superiority or inferiority

Re: Mountain Practice Asheville, NC
Hi rory,
Just to make sure we all understand each other: when you say Mountain Practice, are you referring specifically to Shugendo, or something else? is Ven. Myoei teaching Shugendo in Western NC?
On a separate note, Asheville is a lovely town and the environment there is excellent for Dharma practice generally.

DGA; I just posted what's on the Tendai-USA website, you need to ask Rev. Myoei himself what his practice is, as I haven't been able to get up to Asheville yet. It would be fun if we all could get together!DGA wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2017 2:45 pm Hi rory,
