The Tai-ching states "the women in the realms of Mara, Sakra and Brahma all neither abandoned ( their old) bodies nor received (new) bodies. They all received buddhahood with their current bodies (genshin)" Thus these verses state that the dharma nature is like a great ocean. No right or wrong is preached (within it) Ordinary people and sages are equal, without superiority or inferiority

Hi rory,

Just to make sure we all understand each other: when you say Mountain Practice, are you referring specifically to Shugendo, or something else? is Ven. Myoei teaching Shugendo in Western NC?

On a separate note, Asheville is a lovely town and the environment there is excellent for Dharma practice generally.

DGA; I just posted what's on the Tendai-USA website, you need to ask Rev. Myoei himself what his practice is, as I haven't been able to get up to Asheville yet. It would be fun if we all could get together!
