Damaru mantras

Is a chod damaru without mantras ineffective for ritual use? I don't want to forget asking about the mantra inscription from the seller by mistake. I've been looking online to acquire an affordable one someday.

i don't know, but i think it is better to stick-stick to traditional ritual implements. and to avoid merchants.
true dharma is inexpressible.
