Master Sheng-Yen on the Six Paramitas

Post by Dharma Flower »

This is Master Sheng-Yen's commentary on the Six Paramitas:

Master Sheng-Yen was greatly responsible for the modern revival of Chinese Buddhism.
Master Sheng Yen is a living gem of the contemporary Buddhist world. He is credited internationally, for sparking a revival of Chinese Buddhism. Since becoming a monk at age 13, Master Sheng Yen always felt that “the Buddhadharma is so wonderful, it’s a pity so few people know of it and so many misunderstand it”. Hence he vowed to study the Dharma diligently so that he could help more people benefit from it.

No, two very different people with similar names. Dharma Drum Mountain has nothing to do with the "True Buddha School":

No, as the wiki article states:

Lu Sheng-yen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Not to be confused with Dharma Drum Mountain's Sheng-yen.

I wish i had a written reference for you... ...but from his holiness the Dalai Lama, the practice of Buddhism has three areas ethics, meditation and wisdom.

These three practice areas map to the six perfections. The first four perfections cover Buddhist ethics: discipline generosity patience and moral strength. The remaining two perfections are meditation and wisdom.

Good luck to you dear flower in your practice of the three areas of Buddhism. They will do you right!!!!
i dedicate this post to your happiness, the causes of your happiness, the absence of your suffering the causes of the absence of your suffering that we may not have too much attachment nor aversion. SAMAYAMANUPALAYA
