Tashi delek ,
Tibetan history starts with Bön "religion" somehow.
From there it changes to Tibetan Buddhism or better said Vajrayana / Dorje Thekpa with its 4 Buddhist Traditions like:
- Nyingma
- Shakya
- Kagyu
- Gelug
As far as i know were Bön and Nyingma not so heavy involved in politics than the other Tibetan Traditions, probably because they followed Dzogchen which was not easy to accept by the other Tibetan Traditions.
