Does anyone have the Sherab Chamma mantra in Tibetan script? If so, would you post it?
Thanks

Tashi delek,

In the Bon pantheon, Chamma is considered as one of the "4 principal sugatas," also known as the 4 peacefull deities, who stimulate and superintend the spiritual evolution of the human race.

They are:
Sherab Chamma, the Perfection of Wisdom
Shenlha Okar, the Sambhogakaya Buddha
Sangpo Bumtri, the creator deity
Shenrab Miwoche, the Nirmanakaya or teacher

Tashi delek,

Yes it is a good thing to write Mantras, it can get loaded by this method, if your concentration is not interrupted. Reading and writing is sure different. Writing mantras is more powerfull. ;)

Will add soon the Tibetan script, then also your Tibetan can improve.

Sure I know it, but how do you expect it to be put here? It's not that easy, but fortunately I found a pdf file on the web with a prayer and there's the mantra also.
The mantra in the English transliteration is very straightforward, meaning - it is very simple, straightforward Tibetan syllbales like ye, etc. Only the last syllables are a little more complicated (the du du and soha). But then you have them in A Kar Ame (the soha in the end) and in Ma Ti (the du du, it's the same du here).
Here: http://www.olmoling.org/section/file/56 ... otherr.pdf
Anyhow, remember when you make the prayer whel, you need to put the mantra inside that way so that the syllables are facing inside and so that when you spin the prayer wheel counter-clockwise the mantra syllables are moving from beginning to end (like you were reading it in correct order).
Best wishes,
Pawel

On conceptual level there are equivalents, for example Vajrapani ~ Takla Mebar, and White Tara ~ Sherab Chamma. But then in real quality of energy is different, and the Bon panteon is unique. Even if you go to the most commonly known case of guardians - Ekajati and Sidpa Gyalmo, or Yeshe Walmo - they are all the guardian of Dzogchen teachings but still the way of approaching them and their energetic being is different. Same goes for the Dakinis Thugje Khundrol and Vajravarahi. So it's not much use to make that kind of comparisons

BACKGROUND

Sherab Chamma, the Wisdom Loving Mother, is the embodiment of loving compassion. As an enlightened deity, Chamma manifests in many different types according to the needs of practitioners.

In Bön tradition, Chamma is one of the "4 Main Sugatas,” which means that the Goddess belongs to those 4 "Peaceful Deities,” who inspire and guide the spiritual development of humankind.

The 4 Sugatas are:

1) Sherab Chamma, the perfection of wisdom;
2) Shenlha Ökar, the god of wisdom or Sambhogakaya Buddha. Sambhogakaya symbolizes the Buddha-activity of the higher Boddhisattvas. He often is described as "life-giving", because he is the one, inspiring the desire for attaining Buddha-nature in all living beings.
3) Sangpo Bumtri, the god of creation, also called Srid pa; and
4) Shenrab Miwo, the world´s teacher or Nirmanakaya Buddha.
