H.E. Garchen Rinpoche has chosen to bestow the following rare and profound empowerments and teachings:
Minling Dorsem or ‘Mindroling Vajrasattva’ is a famous practice of Vajrasatta revealed as a terma by Minling Terchen Gyurme Dorje aka Terdak Lingpa, a great terton and the founder of Mindroling Monastery, in 1676 from a place called Ökar Rock. This profound Vajrasattva cycle of teachings is also known as the Profound Meaning of Ati. A great purifying way to end the year and start anew.
The Precious Garland of the Supreme Path, one of the masterworks of Gampopa, outlines in twenty-eight categories what practitioners of varying levels need to know in order to perfect their spiritual practice. Gampopa (1070-1153), the father of the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, was the foremost student of the great yogi Milarepa said, “To all future individuals devoted to me who think they cannot meet me: Please read the treatises composed by me, such as Precious Garland and The Ornament of Precious Liberation. It will be no different from meeting me personally.”
Machig Labdron’s Chod Machig Labdron was a renowned 11th-century Tibetan Tantric Buddhist practitioner, teacher and yogini who originated several Tibetan lineages of the Vajrayana practice of Chöd , which literally means “cutting through.” It cuts through hindrances and obscurations, sometimes called ‘demons’. Examples of demons are ignorance, anger and, in particular, the dualism of perceiving the self as inherently meaningful, contrary to the Buddhist doctrine of no-self. The practitioner is fully immersed in the ritual that engages every aspect of one’s being and effects a powerful transformation.

Does somebody know how to get this Vajrasattva sadhana? Couldn't find it anywhere!
“Whatever has to happen, let it happen!”
“Whatever the situation is, it’s fine!”
“I really don’t need anything!

Although many individuals in this age appear to be merely indulging their worldly desires, one does not have the capacity to judge them, so it is best to train in pure vision.

Garchen Rinpoche gave the empowerment for Mindroling Vajrasattva but the sadhana he is teaching is from Sangthig Nyingpo from Chokling Tersar and can be found here: https://lhaseylotsawa.org/texts/sangtik ... Well I'm not so sure anymore that this is the same text. It seemed to correspond during the explanation but the lung seemed much longer than this text.Pero wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2017 11:39 pmGarchen Rinpoche gave the empowerment for Mindroling Vajrasattva but the sadhana he is teaching is from Sangthig Nyingpo from Chokling Tersar and can be found here: https://lhaseylotsawa.org/texts/sangtik ... The Lama giving lung wasn't reading extremely fast, I could actually understand some of what he said.Pero wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 1:08 amWell I'm not so sure anymore that this is the same text. But did you follow along with the text? Because I'm 100% sure that some of what he said is not in the linked text.Lhasa wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 1:27 amThe Lama giving lung wasn't reading extremely fast, I could actually understand some of what he said.Pero wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2018 1:08 amWell I'm not so sure anymore that this is the same text. No, I don't have the text.
Re: H.E. Garchen Rinpoche’s teaching Dec 30th 2017 to Jan 7th 2018
Is it possible that the reading transmission was for the entire Sangtik Dorsem cycle, rather than just the Sadhana? I see on the Lhasey Lotsawa website that there is also a tsok offering practice from the Sangtik Dorsem as well.
Re: H.E. Garchen Rinpoche’s teaching Dec 30th 2017 to Jan 7th 2018
You could be right, tsok could have been transmitted too if I go by a mantra I remember hearing that I found in the tsok. In any case I emailed them to ask where I could get the text.

http://www.tarainstitute.org.au/nyung-nye wrote:The Nyung Nye fasting and purification practice, based on Chenrezig, the Buddha of Compassion, is a concentrated practice comprising eight sessions, with praises and prayers, full-length body prostrations, visualisations and mantra recitations to Chenrezig over two days.
The eight Mahayana precepts are taken for the duration of the practice and on the second day, additional vows of not drinking any fluids, eating or talking are observed.
The emphasis of this practice is on developing compassion.
