Doesn't seem to be any longer retreats planned this year, but the notable weekend ones forthcoming are:
The Sinh Thuc center is very close to Northern Virginia / Washington, DC, and teaches in the Liễu Quán Thiền tradition--a "domesticated" offshoot of Lâm Tế (Linji). In practice, it is very similar to Thich Nhat Hanh's tradition (same ordination lineage, actually), but isn't associated with TNH other than the root teacher -- Thich Tinh Tu -- being part of the Order of Interbeing. So there's a tremendous emphasis on mindfulness, but it isn't presented quite as secularly (although the more traditional aspects are put aside).Apr 14-15 -- Weekend Well-being Retreat "Bring Peace & Joy to Our Impermance Life". Retreat fee per person: $180 (dormitory), $230 (double occupancy), $280 (single occupancy), $120 (camping)
