Dear Dharma Friends,
You may or not be aware that last May when Garchen Rinpoche our beloved Guru was teaching in Vancouver at Unity, he requested Khenpo Samdup to form a local practice group.
We had Khenpo visit in Sept 2017; he gave a Achi empowerment and meditation instruction. Since then several of us have been practicing White Tara on a bi-weekly basis at a Sangha member's home. We also had a fundraising video retreat of Rinpoche's pith instructions in Dayton, Ohio, that was very successful.
If you would like to join the study group please let us know at [email protected] and put in the subject line "please add me to the study group."
We are very happy to let you know that Khenpo Samdup will be returning in July to teach 2 retreats. July 14th and 15th will be Dzogchen Instruction from the text The pointing out instruction to the Old Woman from Padmasambhava. On July 21 and 22nd he will leading the Great Drikung Phowa Retreat.
Suggested donation [...] is $100-$150 per retreat or $60-$100 per day. No one turned away for lack of funds.
We have attached some posters about the retreat, if you could share for the benefit of all beings it would be greatly appreciated
If you would like to attend both or either of the retreats please email [email protected] or call or text Marilyn at 778-985-6538 and we will put you on the registration list. Its always nice to have a idea of how many will come for our set up of the space.
Yours in the Dharma,
Khenpo Samdup's Vancouver Study Group Team

Khenpo Samdup will be conducting retreats on Dzogchen (July 14-15) and Phowa (July 21-22). Below are the contents of an email that was recently sent out. (Please Note: These events will not be webcast, as Khenpo indicated that the teachings are secret and the Phowa is a closed retreat.)

"The Sutras, Tantras, and Philosophical Scriptures are great in number. However life is short, and intelligence is limited, so it's hard to cover them completely. You may know a lot, but if you don't put it into practice, it's like dying of thirst on the shore of a great lake. Likewise, a common corpse is found in the bed of a great scholar." ~ Karma Chagme

I probably should've bolded that...
