Danakosha Dharma Center (http://danakosha.fi/)has gotten a wonderful place in the mid-point of the three major cities in south-western Finland. We emphasize being an authenthic Buddhist center for study and practice, for students from all over the world, and particularly in northern Europe. In northern Europe there are very few Tibetan Buddhist centers. In the new center we will offer summer courses and annual retreats, such as traditional drubchens and many other events.
In order for everything to go smoothly for the participants and organizers, we need to build rooms for accommodation, take care of the environment, and establish symbolic monuments of Buddhism, such as temples, stupas, mani wheels, etc. We need many people to help, particularly those with skills in construction. Our karma yoga program will take place between May 5th 2017 to June 4th 2017, and you can come for any time that is suitable for you. We offer accommodation and food for the voluntary workers.
It would also be of great help if you have extra bathroom or kitchen furniture, which you can donate. We need for example faucets, toilet seats, sinks, an industrial dishwasher, a big fan-assisted oven, industrial hotplates or a gas stove, refridgerators, chest freezers, possibly a soup kitchen, a wood-burning stove, a big paella pan, etc. Suggest freely.
