2017 Rinzai Zen Sesshin in Germany

Post by Meido » Thu Feb 16, 2017 10:05 pm

Friends, our annual sesshin in Laufen, Germany (just over the border from Salzburg) is set: August 24-27. Details TBA, but if interested feel free to PM me. Please also join the mailing list at www.korinji.org for updates.

This is a short sesshin, ideal for beginners or those who have not done much retreat practice.

It is relatively easy to accomplish the important matter of insight into one’s true nature, but uncommonly difficult to function freely and clearly [according to this understanding], in motion and in rest, in good and in adverse circumstances. Please make strenuous and vigorous efforts towards this end, otherwise all the teachings of Buddhas and patriarchs become mere empty words. - Torei

Registration is now open for the August 24-27 2017 European Sesshin at the Kapuzinerhof - a restored 17th century Capuchin monastery - in Laufen, Germany. I will be there, and would look forward to meeting any DW members that are interested to attend. This short sesshin is geared toward beginners.

Please note that the registration deadline is July 16th, and attendance is limited...our German friends recommend registration asap to avoid being placed on the wait list. Full information here:
