Sikkim still has great teachers and it would be good to connect with one. Some of them have come to the west from time to time. Of course it would be excellent to connect with Dzongsar Khyentse although he is not at the shedra generally.

Thanks for the Roerich link. Usually I am very dubious about him but this is an excellent if dated excerpt.

Thanks for the tips and links.
"21-Day Arya Tara Retreat" but in the link link I read only about Tara pujas. Im not so interessted in pujas... and ask my selgf is the term " retreat" used for every kind of gatering ?

I found at the page the http://84000.co fine .. well done good project new to me.

My plans are now to rent a jep and a driver and go to different monasterys. To visit them and bring them some dahna.
Question : some one knows a price rage for 14 days and lets say 400km inklussiv ?
Question 2 : I f I will bring rise, coffe and so on to the Monasterys better to bay it outside sikkim like in Siliguri ? How much more costly is all the stuff in Sikkim / Gangtok ?

I'm glad your plans are coming together Joe.

One of the reasons for mentioning the Tara retreat is that it is likely you will find it difficult to obtain accommodation in the broad area around Bir / Chauntra while the retreat is being being conducted and you can expect large numbers of people to be in attendance. Up to you whether you still want to try to visit the College.
