September Program Featuring Ven. Lobsang Namgyel and Ven. Robina Courtin

Himalayan Buddhist Meditation Center is the FPMT city located near Thamel in Kathmandu and offers teachings in Tibetan Buddhism, weekend courses, guided meditations and spiritual tours and pilgrimages to the holy sites around the Kathmandu Valley.

We are please to present our September program, featuring Venerable Lobsang Namgyel and Ven. Robina Courtin.

Venerable Lobsang Namgyel has been studying and teaching Buddhism for more than 30 years, has completed 4 years of Lam Rim retreats, many tantric retreats and has been a teacher and practitioner of Reiki for more than 20 years. His easy to understand teachings are presented in an open, clear manner and are filled with warmth and humor

Saturday & Sunday September 16 & 17 10 am – 4 pm

The Healing Power of Medicine Buddha with Ven. Namgyel
The Medicine Buddha practice is a profound and powerful practice used to help heal disease and destructive states of mind. This course will include teachings, guided meditations, and group discussions.
Donation: Rs. 3000 for both days or Rs.1500 for one day to help cover our costs.

Tuesday & Wednesday September 19th & 20th 10 am – 5:30 pm

REIKI course level 1 for beginners with Ven. Namgyel
During this two-day workshop you will be given the Reiki attunement, and Venerable Namgyel will give you essential information necessary for the giving of treatments to others and to yourself.

September 22-24th Immersive Weekend Retreat at Chandra Ban Resort with Ven. Namgyel
PEACEFUL LIVING, PEACEFUL DYING will explore the qualities needed to live and die peacefully: loving kindness, compassion and wisdom.
This retreat will explore the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism with meditation instruction and will be alternated with guided meditation, discussion groups and hatha yoga.
Cost: US$200, includes 2 nights accommodation, all meals starting with dinner on the 22nd and ending with lunch on the 24th, course fees, and yoga instructor.
