10 Days Nepal Pilgrimage trip

Post by CoconutMan »

There is 10 days 9 nights Nepal Pilgrimage trip leaded by Ngagpa Tshering Rinpoche from 22nd to 31st October.
Places which would be visited are:
1) Boudha Stupa
2) Patan (Thousand Buddha) / Pharping (Asura Cave) and Swayambhu (Monkey Temple)
3) Maratika Cave
4) NamoBuddha
5) Lumbini
6) Bhaktapur Tara / Pasuparinath / Mahakal

Lamp Offering puja/prayer would be conducted at certain places mentioned above.

Maratika Cave
The sacred pilgrimage site of Maratika Cave is a very important destination for Vajrayana Buddhists wishing to engage in long life practices.
It is here that Guru Rinpoche, Padmasambhava and Dakini Mandarava opened the Mandala of Amitayus and practised for 90 days, attaining the level of "vidyadhara of immortality".
In the Vajrayana tradition of Buddhism, Maratika is considered to be one of the six most holy places of our world.

Lumbini
The place where Lord Buddha was born and signifies the emergence of Buddhism.

Looks like a good list of places, wish you all the best. I never been to that Maratika Cave, but I have been to most of the other places. Good vibes!
