"All phenomena of samsara depend on the mind, so when the essence of mind is purified, samsara is purified. Since the phenomena of nirvana depend on the pristine consciousness of vidyā, because one remains in the immediacy of vidyā, buddhahood arises on its own. All critical points are summarized with those two." - Longchenpa

Re: Shang Shung Institute Online Tibetan Medicine
Any idea on how much of a time commitment the program is?
From the website, I read:
From the website, I read:
OK, so it's 8 hours of lecture a week. But how much additional work outside of lecture are there? For example, I'm a software engineer and am familiar with Computer Science course workloads. Taking 3-5 CS classes while working full-time is totally inconceivable. Even though that might be 8 hours of lecture a week, it could amount to 40 hours of work a week on programming assignments and projects. I know it does say that people have done the program working full-time, but were they potentially damaging their own health sleeping 3 hours a night or so in order to do that?Weekly lectures can comprise 6 hours of core studies and 2 hours of language study. There are students who attend programs offered by the school who simultaneously carry fulltime university study loads and/or part or fulltime workloads.
