Again with the abortions Will?

Ok
This article is a review from the Wall street Journal, which is owned by Rupert Murdouch who owns Fox news and many other right wing pushing media arms.

Abortions are stated to be the cause of disparate amounts of births in varying nations of a third world flavor.

Geeze Louise..last I checked, peoples in INdia China and the other nations mentioned, do not have a flying pigs chance in hell of finding out the sex of their child before it is born. The technology is just not available to them...they being mostly very poor with limited resource.
The well to do in such areas are simply not present in large enough a fashion to make such a statistical difference. The well to do are the only ones who have such abilities to find out sex of their children before their birth, as the test....costs money to do.

WAnt me to give you a rundown of the medical treatment capeabilities available to your average income peoples in there areas?

Birthrate by sex has very many variable attached to it. Do you know more females are born in industrialized secure safe environments than males...fact.
Has to do with probably, a means of presevering the species, at some very basic way down the road genetic trait.
More threatening envirnments have more males produced.

Not to get into each and every variable and why as it could get quite comples...but the contention of this article is absurd.

A global birthrate ration by gender is used. Any researcher worth their salt would tell you birthrate by gender has very many variables attached to it. AS mentioned by environment and others not mentioned. EAch ratio must be examined by country and environmental condition to realize a effective comparison. That may include by majorty race, by economic status and things as seemingly remote as diet and geography.

Then when all that is found to be equal in groups studied, then if real viable constant data of birth rate by gender in a historical context is attemted, to show trend, data, historical by birthing gender, must be provided.
That is generally not avaiiable in those places mentioned.

So the book...total nonsense of political invention with intention.

Are the abortion rates in these places found to be greatly statistically higher as result of this gender selection basis..,.well no, we will find.
The chinese do have economic necessity for abortion as higher tax results from higher number of children, but still the rates per nation have no relationship to gender preference as evidenced overall by nation abortion rates.
"This order considers that progress can be achieved more rapidly during a single month of self-transformation through terrifying conditions in rough terrain and in "the abode of harmful forces" than through meditating for a period of three years in towns and monasteries"....Takpo Tashi Namgyal.
