Hello from small town Saskatchewan

Post by dontaskme » Sat Nov 17, 2012 10:57 pm

Hello everyone, I am quite new to Buddhism, I've been drawn to it ever since stumbling upon a blog claiming that one could transcend introversion through meditation. Although overcoming this will be an on-going battle, I have noticed immediate benefits and have had some interesting experiences through meditation. Over the past few months I have been picking up various methods and learning what I can online, albeit with no real structure. :D I'm hoping to find some guidance with the practice and share what I can.

Posting this feels like officially taking refuge in the Three Jewels!

Thank you all,
Stephen

Welcome. I became a Buddhist while living in Moose Jaw, so I can relate to the isolation.

You used to live in a Moose Jaw? And here was me thinking Milarepa was cool hiding in a Yaks Horn!

Welcome to Dharma Wheel Stephen, hope we can be of some assistance to you!

We used to say it was named for the wrong end of the moose.
