This is why I have suggested to my 89YO father that he get a new pet - an old-age/crippled pet- one i could take for walks if able, care for if not - that could share love and time with my father while i attend chores, cooking, laundry, etc - one i could also love and bless before the time for them both is over.but my father refuses to accept another life into our family....
