Hello from TN
Hello everyone. d
My name is John and I've been a Buddhist since 2005, but began again to be a practicing Buddhist5again (there's a big difference as you probally know!) this past year. Took refuge in 2005 with the Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche and his brother Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche. I'm so fortunate to have stay connected to the Dharma and to be able to have lots of time for practice and study. This seems like a mature Dharma forum and I hope to connect, discuss, and learn from other Sangha members of the Triple Gem.

Welcome John! Feel free to throw yourself into some conversations ...you'll soon find the ignoramuses like me, the scholars, and the yogis to be really interesting

Re: Hello from TN
Welcome to DW John! I am sorry for the loss of your teacher, Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche. He was really a good one.
I am glad to hear you are back to practice. The great masters display impermanence for us to shock us awake to the reality of our own impermanence, and to get a fire under our butts to practice constantly. We can be so thick though, huh? In this degenerate age, time seems to run faster and our demons of distraction loom larger.
I hope you will find solidarity and inspiration among the members here to cut through obstacles to practice and understanding..

Re: Hello from TN
Thank you. Yes he was very precious and I'm so blessed to have had a chance to receive his blessings and teachings. Impermanence and this brief life does indeed cause one to dedicate more and more time to practice. Thanks for the welcome.Adamantine wrote:Welcome to DW John!
