"To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget." –Arundhati Roy

I'm constantly being mistaken for Kevin Costner. I have women wanting to bear my children, people telling me that they think Waterworld was the best movie ever and stopping me on the street for autographs.

Personally I think I don't look anything like Kevin Costner. I may bear a passing resemblance to John Waters, but only very slightly.

It sucks to be me, but not as much as some.

I had a friend who was a serious dead-ringer for Kyle MacLachlan. He ended up with a psychotic break and ended up in the same hospital as Ed Gein.

Not really, but it is kinda fun to make stuff up sometimes.

It is realized through the blessing grace of the Guru and fortunate Karmic potential.
Like this, mistaken ideas of discriminating wisdom are clarified."

That, my friend, is a wicked piece of equipment friend. My dad does post-production, but he shoots a lot too... And that, even I know, Miss Ignoramus, is a NICE videocamera.

“Where do atomic bombs come from?”
Zen Master Seung Sahn said, “That’s simple. Atomic bombs come from the mind that likes this and doesn’t like that.”

"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."
Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

If there's a situation where I should be wearing robes to represent the training then I take up the minimum 10 precepts. In the place this picture was taken there had been a request from HHST for Sakya practitioners to wear robes.

I have not taken the full monastic vows before and haven't worn robes for about a half a year.
