Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche
Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche
Are there any informations about Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche? I have tried rigpawiki but could not find anything. Is he "OK" tulku?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Re: Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche
Not sure what you mean by OK.
There are three incarnations of Dudjom Rinpoche.
Two of them are active.

The one on that photo is very legit, he was recognized by Chatral Rinpoche and others. He has also much contact with the daughter of Chatral Rinpoche and is very respected. He is without a doubt legit. The other one of that I know was recognized by Trulshik Rinpoche though. There is absolute no argument or conflict between those parties, they are both considered legit. I met this Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche you can see in the picture above and I had a very good impression.

What if any is the relationship between the two Yangsis? Have they ever met? I have seen photos of them both with Dilgo Khyense Yangsi and it seems that they both are accepted widely as being the heirs to the Dudjom lineage. I know very little( practically nothing) about them... However in a recent trip to Kathmandu did get to see the Tibetan Yangsi very, very briefly and receive a blessing from him...

There are actually three, one is a Tibetan-American.
Only two are actively teaching. There is no competition.

1.The problem isn’t ‘ignorance’. The problem is the mind you have right now. (H.H. Karmapa XVII @NYC 2/4/18)
2. I support Mingyur R and HHDL in their positions against lama abuse.

Re: Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche
Indeed.
In the last generation there 5 Dudjoms.
I'm told this time there may well be more that 5.
I believe that may be the case. Two are now actively
teaching, so the rest may be 'stealth' tulkus-- benefiting
beings who will never enter a Buddhist Temple in inconceivable ways...
Also of course, we know there were multiple Khyentse tulkus,
but sadly there was some competition among their separate
administrations.
If we truly follow such sublime teachings as Mahamudra or Dzogchen,
then we really must take to heart a 'view beyond all limits' and not
get involved in Dharma politics. It does not serve us in the west to
transplant Tibetan baggage along with the Dharma and the more
sublime aspects of the culture.

Here is Dudjom Tenzin Yeshey Dorji Rinpoche's website. I saw him in Kathmandu when Trulshik Rinpoche gave the Nyingthig Yabshi empowerments several years ago. Dilgo Khentse Yangsi Rinpoche was there too. I was impressed by both.
And here: http://www.dudjomspz.org/ is a website dedicated to Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche Sangye Pema Shepa.

Dudjom Yeshi Dorje Rinpoche is my "friend" on facebook. He seems to be very active in Bhutan, traveling to villages to participate in various rituals and guide the local people. Like most Bhutanese, his English also seems quite good. I imagine if he wanted he could build up students in the West quite easily, but am glad that for the moment he is guiding the people of his own country.

Is he the one that's into Yogananda?

Re: Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche
Yup, that's the one!
Re: Yangsi Dudjom Rinpoche
i've met both several times in Pharping , Nepal. Both are legit as far as i'm concerned. Have been told by several Teachers that to respect both is excellent...vs. respecting one and putting down the other.

What does ‘ being into yogananda’ mean?

JKhedrup had recently posted this and I was attempting to humorously allude to that.

I suggest you read up on the past perfect tense.
