Prayer for success in finding a job?

Post by Keshin » Mon Apr 25, 2011 1:55 pm

Respected members,

Is it possible to have a prayer for finding a job or a new job?
It would be incredibly beneficial.

Or, you could pray to Tārā.

For example, http://www.tarastotra.com.

Yes recite Amitabha with sincerity, respect, and complete Faith
NAMO AMITABHA
NAM MO A DI DA PHAT (VIETNAMESE)
NAMO AMITUOFO (CHINESE)

Bodhidharma [my translation]

There's always the option of reciting Om Mani Padme Hum

Thank you for the suggestions guys. Which Tārā is it that one should pray to for such a thing?

Also, may I ask for the mantra of Vaiśravaṇa (Jambhala)?

The general Tara mantra covers all the 21 Tara's: OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA. There are mantras for the indiviudal 21 Tara's according to at least 3 lineages: Atisha, Suraayagupta and Longchenpa.

These individual mantras and the mantra for Vaishravana have to be given in empowerments.

There is also Medicine Buddha, one of whose pledges is to provide practitioners with the necessities of life.

May you and all beings needing jobs and employment be able to quickly find or create meaningful work, increase their wealth, eliminate their debt, use their wealth to help all beings and lead all beings to the Dharma.

OM TARE TUTARE TURE SOHA
THADYATA OM BEYKANZE BEYKANZE MAHABEYKANZE RAJA SAMUGATE SOHA
OM AH HUNG VARJA GURU PEDME SIDDHI HUNG

I think you will find that a lung (ritual reading) will suffice for the mantras. I was going to reccomend J(DZ)amb(h)ala too.
