White Tara Mantra Question

Post by srivijaya »

I’m used to the mantra being rendered: OṀ TĀRE TUTTĀRE TURE MAMA ĀYUR PUṆYE JÑĀNA PUṢṬIṂ KURU SVĀHĀ

Just watched the vid of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche chanting: OṀ TĀRE TUTTĀRE TURE MAMA ĀYUR JÑĀNA PUṆYE PUṢṬIṂ KURU SVĀHĀ

So a different sequence for the ĀYUR PUṆYE JÑĀNA PUṢṬIṂ section.

Does anyone have any idea why?

It's what one is emphasizing what are we asking for first
ĀYUR is Life, PUṆYE is Merit, PUṢṬIṂ is wealth
