Vajrakilaya Gutor and Iron Tiger 2137 Losar Retreat Feb 5-14

Join Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, Lama Sonam Rinpoche, other lamas and Dharma friends at Pema Osel Ling to participate in Vajrakilaya Gutor and Iron Tiger 2137 Losar Retreat Vajrakilaya is a very wrathful activity traditionally performed on the final days of the last month of the year in order to incinerate, cleanse and pacify all the negative activities, bad fortune, undesirable circumstances, illness, demonic influence, defilements and obstacles before the New Year.

It culminates in the Gutor ritual on February 12 where the wrathful torma is cast out on the last 29th day of the lunar calendar year accompanied by the sacred Black Hat dance, paving the way for a New Year replete with positive qualities, including short term happiness during this life and the long term happiness of enlightenment.

Through engaging with this practice, all positive circumstances increase like the waxing moon. Relative circumstances such as longevity, merit, glories, joy and family lineage are increased. And on the path, meditation qualities, experience, wisdom and fruition of practice are accomplished.
