Greetings
Hello everyone,
I have only recently come into interest of Buddhism. I had been unsure of where I would fall and had been doing research on various religions when I came across information about Buddhism. Something just clicked with the ideals and especially how Buddha had encouraged a man not to just follow him but do his own research this began my journey into Buddhism. I then picked up Thich Nhat Hanh's The Heart of the Buddha's Teachings and really have enjoyed it so far. I also picked up the following books:
What the Buddha Taught by Walpola Rahula
Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind by Shunryu Suzuki
Everyday Zen by Charlotte J. Beck
Finding the Still Point by John Daido Loori
Healing Anger by HHDL
Introduction to Tibetan Buddhism by John Powers
Honestly I am excited with the wide open world I have discovered in BUddhism and look forward to learning even more.

Re: Greetings
Welcome to Dharma Wheel!
You are very close to me, just about 150 miles away.
Re: Greetings
Very close indeed. I have found, unsurprisingly, that Utah is a rather hard state to show serious interest in the Dharma especially in the South. Though I am hoping when I transfer either up to the Northern Part of the State or somewhere else I can find different Sanghas to learn from at this point I am stuck solely with books. Not that I can complain I am just happy to have floundered upon the teachings of Buddha through sheer curiosity.
Thanks for the welcome everyone I am definitely enjoying reading all the threads here and gaining some insight and enjoying the humor.

That may be, but I think everyone agrees that southern Utah is among the most beautiful places on planet earth!
