Sutras with Ratnasambhava Buddha

Sutras with Ratnasambhava Buddha

Post by gingercatni » Mon May 07, 2012 11:33 pm

Hello

Can anyone point me in the direction of some sutras containing reference to Ratnasambhava Buddha? His original name was Ratnaketu. I have searched high and low for some sutra's and tantras but most are out of print or not even available to my knowledge. If you can help I'd be very grateful!

Have you checked wikipedia?
The first documented mention of Ratnasambhava is found in the Ārya Suvarna-prabhā-sottamasutrendrarājamahāyana Sutra (Sutra of Golden Light) and in the Guhyasamaja Tantra (4th Century CE), and subsequently appears in a number of vajrayana texts. The most elaborate account of him is to be found in the Panchakara section of the Advyavajra sangrah.
